company team building event 2012

T.G.I.F

23 Nov 2012, my office closed due to annual team building event. Yeah!! no need to work..tee heee..For me, this year would be the most meaningful team building event. We co-operated with NTUC elder cares centre, as a volunteer to play, to have fun and to entertain elderly to make them have a heartwarming memories.

We have been separated into 10 groups, each group has 5 members including a group leader. I am in the group 6 and my team leader is --- Joyce Eng! Definitely her characteristic just same like her name "joyce", always having a cheerful heart and have a lots of ideas. The others group members are Ethan, Joe, Kenneth and me!
 
Our mission is to distribute goodies bag to elderly and bring them back to elder care centre and make a scrapbook together with elderly with the theme of "memories". We gathered at Redhill mrt, then headed to elder care centre to take goodies bags, after that, went to HDB and distributed it to the elderly.

When all elderly came back to the centre, we did ice-breaking with them. Then we start our scrapbook, my leader gave the idea to make a 3D card, damn creative right. We need to complete it within a limited time, can't really remember how much time they given. Just sharing some pictures that everyone very concentrate and put effort in doing the scrapbook.

I have to say I really love the scrapbook that we made, it combine everyone effort including those uncle aunties. This would be the best scrapbook ever. After that, we had our buffet lunch and voted those scrapbook you like. I believe every group did a good job, each scrapbook just so wonderful and awesome. The first prize fall on group 7, second fall on my group 6, and 3rd prize fall on group 4. Let's have a look~

The session 1 had finish. While waiting the shuttle bus, we use the time for some shooting.

Next destination we headed to drum cafe at MBS, we played a role as a drum player sound funny right. Actually this game also lead us to stronger teamwork and improved communication. Apart from indoor game, they provide some outdoor game which we need to think about the game strategies. Although tiring, hand is painful, but overall is quite funny.

Afterward, is time for dinner. All of us are hungry after the drum session, can't wait for the mouthwatering dinner buffet prepared by O'learys sports bar & grill restaurant. It including soup, salad, main dishes, dessert and fruits. While having our dinner, there have a Cultural Award which vote for our company management team to award for their afford within the whole year.

Finally it's come to the end. Although tired, I have really enjoy the whole event. It's memorable and make a have a pleasant experience. Furthermore, through this team building, it make a know more about my colleagues and build up the relationship between each others.

Is time gonna back home, suddenly some people said have second round out for chill. Some of us just went to second round, playing game, snacks, beer, white wine and red wine. It's relaxing.
